The Art of Fairy Tales

I love all things fairy tale, and wanted a way to look at all the versions of art done for the classic stories over the centuries. As an anthropologist I look at what the artworks share and where they differ, as it is an interesting way to see a piece of the progression of (mostly) society in Europe and the United States. For now I am focusing almost exclusively on European tales.

The Id picture is called "Fairy Tales", by Mary Gow, 1880's
